Well, I have a boyfriend, whom I've been dating for 9 months (The longest relationship i've ever had!!). I am so happy with him, because he knows just how to make me smile when I don't even think I can.
We have a LDR or Long Distance Relationship, seeing as he lives about 2200 miles away from me. I don't get to see him much, only for about 1 month in the summer. But that is by far the best month out of the whole entire year - just because i'm happy with him. He makes me laugh when I don't even think I can, and when I want to do something stupid, because i'm so upset or something, he listens and then does his best to help me. It's great! I love how he is.... Plus, he's kinda odd. His favorite color is clear. (:
A lot of people ask me how I can have a long distance relationship, and my answer is that you just have to trust. Sure, that requires A LOT of trust, but hey, the way I see it, he's worth it. Besides, it isn't like there would me much difference if he lived here. If he wanted to cheat on me or something like that, he could still do it, distance and location aren't going to change that. But I have faith in him that he wont, and I trust in our relationship, that he loves me enough not to. I could go on and on about him and how amazing I think he is, but that would make for a really long post so i'll just give the basics.
I think that being in this Long Distance Relationship, is very helpful because it makes me stronger as a person, such that I can't get too attached to him (i.e. clingy). But it also helps with my trust issues, because I have a hard time trusting people. And if I can trust him so much when he lives so far away, without my knowing everything he does, then that helps to help me to trust people who I normally wouldn't trust.... if that makes any sense?
I am me.
I am not perfect.
I try to do the best that I can, set goals that I can reach, and do anything to achieve them.
But I've gotten a little lost along the way, and now here I am, struggling with Anorexia, Depression, and Self Harm.
My blog isn't supposed to be a happy place. Or an advice giving place. It's just a place that I can write out all my thoughts, everything I feel, without being judged!
Maybe you'll find solace in my struggles, someone to understand. Maybe you'll find interest in watching my journey through my life, or maybe you'll even take one look at this, and turn away. Every reaction is a lesson, and I am here to learn.
This blog is access into my most private thoughts.
With that being said, enjoy!

Awww... this is so cute!!! And you're so right about that if he wants to cheat he'll cheat anyway whether he's living close to you or not??
ReplyDeleteI hope your relationship lasts. It's hard, with a LDR but if it works that's great!!!:)
I hope it lasts too! He's the first guy i've ever really connected with, if you know what I mean. He's great, in case you couldn't tell. Haha I could just go on forever about him. (: But thank you so much Izzy!!
DeleteI completely understand this! I've been in a LDR for about fourteen months now {roughly}. We broke up for about a month and a half but we're back together now! He lives in Japan and I live in New Zealand. We've never 'officially' met though so he's technically an 'internet boyfriend' but he's not a pedo or anything!! Just saying, that's always the first thing someone says.
ReplyDeleteLDR can work if you put the time and effort into it. I've found that the second someone stops trying it becomes a whole lot harder but stick at it! It's definitely worth it. He sounds like an awesome guy :)
