I am me.

I am not perfect.
I try to do the best that I can, set goals that I can reach, and do anything to achieve them.

But I've gotten a little lost along the way, and now here I am, struggling with Anorexia, Depression, and Self Harm.

My blog isn't supposed to be a happy place. Or an advice giving place. It's just a place that I can write out all my thoughts, everything I feel, without being judged!
Maybe you'll find solace in my struggles, someone to understand. Maybe you'll find interest in watching my journey through my life, or maybe you'll even take one look at this, and turn away. Every reaction is a lesson, and I am here to learn.

This blog is access into my most private thoughts.
With that being said, enjoy!

Borderline Personality Disorder

I have got Borderline Personality Disorder, I think.
I'll post the symptoms below, but I fit them so perfectly.
Unfortunately, you can't be diagnosed unless you are an adult, or over 18. Which I am not.
Hmm.

Symptoms:
- Impulsive and risky behavior such as risky driving, unsafe sex, or illegal drug use.
- Awareness of self-destructive behavior such as self-injury but feeling unable to change it.
- Wide mood swings
- Short but intense episodes of anxiety or depression.
- Inappropriate anger and antagonistic behavior, sometimes escalating into physical fights.
- Difficulty controlling emotions of impulses
- Suicidal behavior
- Feeling misunderstood, neglected, alone, empty, or hopeless
- Fear of being alone
- Feelings of self hate and self loathing

That's the symptoms. But they don't diagnose it in teens because it could just be teenage hormones and such. Which I understand, but at the same time, I don' want to admit that I have it.
Since it's not diagnosed, I doubt that I will ever be diagnosed. And I don't want to self diagnose because I don't want to be one of those people.

  1. Getting a diagnosis doesn't make you "one of those people." What it does is help a professional work with you to come up with a treatment plan and work towards a healthy life. It can create some stigma from lesser minded people but it also helps to say, hey, I have a problem but it doesn't mean I have to live with it forever. I think you should consider going when you're 18. It's sad people hide going or don't go because they think it will make them appear weak or make them stigmatized.

    big hugs girly.

    1. I don't mind being diagnosed with BPD if I have it. The problem lies in self diagnosing. I don't want to self diagnose, I'll leave that up to the professionals.
I agree though, getting treatment could help.

  2. If you think you have symptoms of BPD, I think it's worth talking to a professional. I think (though I'm not 100% sure) that you can at least get an informal professional diagnosis for 'BPD symptoms' under the age of 18. They might be able to still offer some form of treatment. I think it's definitely worth discussing with a health professional anyway.

    1. Yeah, I just have to find one. But thank you. I'll definitely look for one that can informally diagnose me since i'm under 18. Xx
